BH Cosmetics Creme Luxe Lipsticks

I enjoy cheap and cheerful beauty products just as much as the next person, which is why this was such a fun review for me. BH Cosmetics isn't a brand I'm very familiar with; I've heard a bit about them on YouTube and various blogs, but I'd never tried them out for myself. To initiate my foray into the brand, I started with two of their Creme Luxe Lipsticks.
BH Cosmetics Creme Luxe Lipsticks claim to provide "moisturizing vibrant color." They're available in three finishes including satin, shimmer and creamy.

Sweet Mango is an electric reddened orange with a creamy finish. I find the texture more balmy than creamy, and where there's even the mention of balm, you can count on the promise of hydration, and this one delivers. In one swipe, it runs on the sheerer side, but it can easily be built up. Its shiny finish keeps it looking fresh and perfect for summer. I absolutely love this one!

Charmed is a rich mauve with a satin finish. This one has opaque coverage, although I dislike that I can always feel it on my lips. It's a bit paint-like; it has incredible lasting power and continues to look as though it's been freshly applied hour after hour, but it feels a bit sticky and heavy on. The shade itself appears more purple on me than it does in the bullet.

The Creme Luxe Lipsticks originally run for $7.95 a pop, but they're currently on sale for $3.95. If that's not cheap and cheerful, I don't know what is. If Sweet Mango and Charmed are a fair representation of the rest of the lipstick line, I'd definitely say go for the creamy finish ones - moisturizing, comfortable to wear, and pigmentation that is easily adjustable. The satin finishes would make great going-out lipstick options if you are willing to sacrifice some comfort for not needing to touch-up your lip color.

BH Cosmetics Creme Luxe Lipstikcs are available from their website for $3.95.
