Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in 04 Sun Blondes.

Guerlain recently released their drool-worthy Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzers (00 Nude and 02 Natural Blondes are currently on my wishlist), but after delving deeper into the brand known for their bronzers, another one from their existing collection unsuspectingly caught my eye: the Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in 04 Sun Blondes

Sun Blondes is a mosaic of brown, bronze, tan, pink and mauve shades that, when swirled together, create a beautiful coral-tinged bronze. It has soft, delicate shimmer that  manifests itself into a natural, believable glow on the skin as opposed to an actual shimmery or glittery effect.

Much to my dismay, the texture did not feel particularly soft or smooth upon swatching it with my finger (perhaps because it is a "sheer" bronzing powder?). However, I haven't actually noticed this issue translating into application, and I don't have any issues getting it to show up or blending it into the skin. All is right with the world.

Below, Sun Blondes is swatched on the left and Dior Aurora bronzer is swatched on the right for comparison purposes. Notice how much redder Sun Blondes is compared to Aurora. Also note the difference in textures that is visible in the swatches: Aurora is a much softer powder than Sun Blondes and therefore, looks a bit powdery before blending.

I'm wearing Sun Blondes below, shown in several different lighting situations.

All in all, I'm glad to have Sun Blondes in my bronzer arsenal because the coral base sets it apart from the others in my collection, and it definitely holds its own. It's a product that ticks the boxes for both bronzer and blush, and you know I love multitasking products ;)

I purchased Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in 04 Sun Blondes from Sephora for $51.

  3. Hey Tiffany, I'm glad to hear you heart your new Guerlain bronzer! If it has a coral base then I'll definitely have to check it out! I get what you mean by the not particularly soft texture too. Guerlain powders seem to be a bit harder in general. It doesn't necessarily influence their performance, but when you swatch them it tends to be a little surprising.

  4. Guerlain sure makes the prettiest bronzers ^^. I love the mosaic pattern, there is just something about it that looks so pretty! What I really appreciate in the Guerlain powders is the beautiful finish, very glowy without being too much. It suits you so well too, it's a nice youch of colour in the most beautiful way! :D

  6. I have Brunettes and LOVE it to death! It is absolutely my most used and loved bronzer. I've been meaning to get this one for a while...as well as Sun Brunettes. And one of the new 4 Seasons bronzers. And waiting for Terra Nerolia to come out. Haha! No one does bronzer like Guerlain! I am so happy that Brunettes was my first real high-end bronzer--I don't think I could have picked a better brand! Now I'm hooked! :P

  13. Ahh so pretty! Guerlain makeup is so luxe.. I'm very much craving something from the new line. I picked up a blush/bronzer from Edward Bess, the Quad Royale in Summer in Capri, and I think you would love it! Not sure if you having, ill try to review it soon.

  14. I still want one of the new ones though....hahah! I was really drawn in to how pink this one was too, because it's so different from my other bronzers. I couldn't resist! Thanks, Gummy! :)

  15. Hey Sunny, this is my first Guerlain bronzer so yeah, I was a little surprised by the texture because I was expecting something more along the lines of my Dior bronzer, which are like butta! I'm sure I'll still enjoy this one though. The color is quite different compared to the other bronzers in my collection, which I appreciate.

  16. Thank you, Teri! I was having such a touch time photographing it on my face. There wasn't enough light in the shade, but it was TOO bright in the sunlight. Ugh! Haha. I agree that they make some of the most beautiful bronzers though. I just want to stare at the mosaic pattern - so pretty!

  18. Girl, your bronzer wish list is out of hand! Haha, no but seriously, I don't blame you for wanting them. They all look AMAZING! Terra Nerolia...*drools*. Maybe I need to give this one more time, but so far, I still prefer Dior Aurora and my matte bronzer from them that was discontinued.

  19. Thank you, Catherine! They make it so much easier when you don't have a lot of time to pick and choose which products to use, eh? ;)

  26. I love Guerlain, they nailed it with the bronzers, they look natural and add a soft touch of warmth to your face. The new ones are good as well, this one looks like a perfect shade for you though :)

  28. True! I happen to like mine to be on the lighter side.. For some reason, sculpted or contoured cheeks doesn't suit me at all.

  29. This is so pretty on you Tiffany!! I have the Dior Aurora bronzer, and they seem kind of similar, so I don't know whether to get it or not! haha :) But I will be checking it out if I can!

  30. Thanks, Aly! To be completely honest with you, I think I prefer Aurora over Sun Blondes (based on shade and texture) if that helps with your decision at all ;)

  31. get the nude!! lol. i love the guerlain bronzers i have!

  32. It can't get over how natural it looks on you! stunning! On me, bronzer usually ends up looking like I've traced some random mud lines under my cheekbones and on my temples haha not so flattering when you have a really fair skin tone ;) xxx

  33. Thank you, Andrea! I'm glad to hear you've been loving it too. I don't blame you! ;)

  34. Ahhh, bad influence!! I do still want it though....along with a million other things. -_-

  35. Thank you, Lina! I can definitely see where you're coming from. Bronzers are tricky when you're fair. You should look into their new 4 Seasons bronzer in the lightest shade (called 00 Nude)...it looks very light to me. I think it might work on you!

  36. Gorgeous! I don't wear bronzers much, but I love looking at them. It doesn't make sense for me to purchase more than 1 but it's strange that I want to collect them. I'm a little nuts. LOL!

  37. lol yeah don't we all! but BUY IT SO I CAN LOOK AT THE PRETTIES! Lol

  38. I love this kind of bronzers for fair skins, they can give a healthy lovely look :)

I'll add it to my list of future bronzers, although I think I have enough bronzers for the rest of my life!
