AERIN Garden Path.

I'm not typically a pale nude lips kinda girl, but for some reason, I was recently bitten by the nude lip bug just in time for me to realize I didn't own any that were quite to my liking.

After doing some research and consulting with Jessica, I finally settled on AERIN Lipstick in Garden Path, a beautiful, pale pink-toned nude from the line created by Aerin Lauder, the granddaughter of Estée Lauder.

The lipstick is surprisingly short and small, and the square gold, fingerprint-magnet packaging reminds me a bit of the YSL Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks. 'AERIN' is embossed on the inside of the tube, which I thought was a nice touch. The lipstick has a light rose scent.

Garden Path is the palest nude lipstick I currently own, but I still think it works with my skin tone. Any paler and it would definitely verge on corpse lips. To be honest, this was exactly the shade I was looking for. I didn't want another my lips but better type of nude (although I love those too!); I wanted a true, pale nude that I could layer under other lipsticks and glosses but that was still wearable on its own, and I found exactly that.

The formula is smooth, creamy and moisturizing, and it glides on like butta. It has the perfect amount of slip without excessively settling into lip lines or wearing off after only 30 minutes like some other formulas that are creamy to a fault (cough cough YSL Rouge Voluptés).
Overall, LOVE. I don't know how long my newly ignited pale lip obsession will last, but I'm going to make sure to milk it for all it's worth.

AERIN Garden Path is available from Neiman Marcus for $30.

  2. Aha, so this is the mystery lipstick! I definitely don't own many along this line, but I absolutely love it on you! In my stash, Dior Incognito might be a bit more beige, Guerlain Gabrielle Rouge G might be a little peachier and sheerer, but Chanel Fantasque might be similar. We don't get Aerin here which is a pity! I think it might be right up my alley!

  5. Aerin is one line that I keep forgetting to check out in person at a counter!!! I love all the packaging, and this lipstick looks perfect. Like you said...not death corpse, but just enough color to layer or wear alone! Did you like any other colors from this line?

  8. This color looks amazing on you Tiffany! I don't know if this color would work for me or not, but I've been loving nudes lately too! I'd recommend checking out Rimmel's Airy Fairy, it's a really pretty pinky nude :)

  13. So pretty! It's definitely a perfect nude on you, not too pale and not too dark. So nice to hear that it stays on well too! I wished they sold the brand here but as far as I know it's not here at all. Such a pity because I love the packaging and the feel of the whole brand ^^.

  14. Thanks, Teri! I really like it too. I was surprised that it wasn't too nude on me...I guess I'm a lot paler than I thought I was 0_0 And that's a shame AERIN isn't available over there. I wonder if they're planning on being more readily available worldwide in the future. I hope so!

  15. Thanks, Dovey! It's the first product I've tried from AERIN, but it's definitely piqued my interest in the brand!

  16. Thank you, Joanne :) I know what you mean about them being a challenge. I found it really difficult to get used to seeing myself with pale nude lips for the longest time, but as I've gotten paler, it's made it slightly easier to find shades that work on me. My skin tone is around an NC20 right now. Hope that helps!

  17. Thanks, Chelsea :) Sorry I had to be all mysterious about it - I felt so mean not being able to tell people what it was already!

  18. I don't have anything else like this in my collection either; I generally go for darker, more natural nudes on me! Out of the ones you've mentioned, I have (and love) Dior Incognito, and I'd say it's not only darker, but also browner. And like I told Teri, it really is such a shame you guys don't have access to AERIN. If this lipstick is any indication, it seems to be a fantastic brand!

  19. Thanks so much :) This lipstick has definitely sparked a desire in me to try out more from the brand now, and I agree with you about the packaging - very simple and luxurious indeed!

  20. It would look so, so pretty on you! This is my first AERIN product, but I'm definitely impressed and want to try more :)

  21. I've actually never checked it out in person either! I don't think I have it available in any stores near me. I took a chance and ordered Garden Path online. I know they have some cream blushes that look nice as well but in terms of lipsticks, Tulip looks like a nice shade for spring or everyday and I know they just released a new one called Beach Beige that I think is even more pale than Garden Path. That might be too much on me though.

  24. Aww, thank you so much! That's so nice of you to say. I think it's a bit easier for me to pull them off now that I'm much paler than I was a year or two ago. These types of nudes used to look horrific on me back then, but of course, I tried to wear them anyway ;)

  25. Thank you, Aly! I've heard great things about Airy Fairy - I don't know why I still haven't checked it out! Will need to get on that soon :)

  26. Thanks, J.! I really love it too :) So glad to finally have a pale nude in my collection that doesn't look disgusting on me!

  27. I'm not a big fan of pale nudes, they just don't work with my skin tone

  28. Ahh this shade looks SO beautiful on you <3 xo

  29. I agree! I usually go for more MLBB nudes though, but I'm determined to make true, pale nudes work on me now!

  30. I know what you mean, Nina. I usually have the same problem too, but I'm determined to make them work now! I think it helps that I'm not nearly as tan as I used to be too.

  31. As I told you I really liked this colour, but as Aerin is not sold here my search for a nude like this will have to go on... But, well, I think I won't use lots of nudes this summer, so it can wait until autumn :)

  32. I know right? My style has never been smoldering smoking hot and I really want to experiment with it:D. My skin is a bit tanner but I'll try it and see if I need to go a shade deeper.
