The main reason I've been m.i.a. is school...the supporting reason is that it was my birthday last weekend! Woohoo!

I got the Slatkin & Co. Coconut Leaves candle when I bought all of those C.O. Bigelow lip balms I talked about in my last post and I have to say, it's even more amazing than I had anticipated. It has a fresh, coconut scent that's not sickly or overly sweet like some other coconut scents. Love!
I got that colorful, glass beaded bracelet at a local arts and crafts market. The beads are hand-made!
The silver and gold chain bracelet is The Ombre Metals Bracelet from HRH Collection. It's PERFECT...exactly what I wanted :)
The white hand bowl is not a new new purchase, but it was inspired by a post I saw from Lilladylife a few months ago :) It's from Urban Outfitters.
My makeup routine has become increasingly pathetic and boring, but I figured I'd include it anyway for those of you who were interested.
My "essentials" lately have been:
MUFE F&B foundation in #20
MUFE F&B foundation in #20
Dior Matte Bronzer in 002 Honey Matte (surprise, surprise)
Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso (surprise, surprise, surprise)
Skin Food Vita Tok Lipstick in PK03 (moisturizing and pretty pink color...see original post here)
C.O. Bigelow My Favorite Night Balm (better than both Aquaphor and Elizabeth Arden 8-Hr Cream as an overnight lip treatment, in my opinion!)
MAC Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner in Black Line (ab.so.lute.ly. gorgeous. I've been using it for winged liner and on the top lash line only.)
Skin Food Vita Tok lipstick in PK03 (left) and MAC Black Line
And last but not least....
Can you tell I really like this stuff?! ;)
Exciting news: I think I may be purchasing a few new makeup products this weekend for the first time in a while! Stops at MAC and Sephora are a must :D Any new product suggestions?

I LIVE on the Stay Matte powder. Only thing that keeps me shine free! SO GOOD.
ReplyDeleteI really need to try out that candle...I love coconut scents! Happy belated birthday. I hope school is going well and you are settling nicely into your new place.

ReplyDeleteIt's so difficult to find near my place just because of it's raging popularity! Ahh! I have to have a steak out in front of a drugstore to capture it.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I know the Dream Matte powder doesn't work as well on some people, but I think it's definitely cheap enough that's it worth a try! Let me know how it works out for you :)

ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Yu!
ReplyDeletehappy belated birthday! i bet your schooling has been demanding. i have some friends that are in pharmacy and they basically disappeared on me when school started haha. i need to try that dream matte powder out...
ReplyDeleteJust found your beauty blog and spent lots of time reading past posts, its absolutely lovely! Hope you had a wonderful birthday! :)
ReplyDeleteI want that mug!
ReplyDeleteProduct suggestions? Why, I have plenty!- Stila shadow in Golightly. It's a unique bronze shade. No hints of red or orange whatsoever, and suits my very warm skin. What I like is that it has the sliiightest hint of olive without looking green on the eyes. You could call it an antique gold! It's lovely, and SO buttery smooth and gentle on the eyes. And it's quick to apply.
- I have my eye on Stila shadow in Wheat. I've always found highlighter shadows too light and frosty on me, but this one looks absolutely perfect- a fleshy golden beige shimmer. I'd like to try using it on the cheekbones as well as an all over lid color for those lazy days. :)
- NARS blush in Sin. I steered clear of this for awhile because I didn't think such a lavender-looking blush would look nice on me, but it turns out, my yellow/olive undertones suck up the purple and leaves the most natural rosy flush. And it has a slight golden sheen (no chunky glitter here!)- LORAC blush in Soul. Looks dull in the pan, but on the cheeks? It's a dusty yet warm rose. Very pigmented - I just tap the brush in the plan. Lorac blushes get a little powdery in the pan, but never looks so on the face.I'm finished. :D
Thanks Kelly! Yeah, it's been pretty crazy but I love it at the same time :) If you have oily skin, you should definitely give dream matte a try!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Emma! :)
ReplyDeleteWhoa, thank you SO much for the detailed recommendations! Loved them! I'm going to check them all out when I go to Sephora this weekend :D Thanks again, CB!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday! That coconut candle looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Nisha! It smells really, really good :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday Tiff! I bought that Milani Luminoso blush because of you and loving it! Now I think I need that Maybelline powder lol
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with Slatkin candles, just did a posting of their "autumn" scent that is to die for with the onset of cooler weather. Love your blog name, too cute! Glad I found your site, visit mine if you get a chance! www.jennysuemakeup.com
