Dior Addict Lipstick in Singulière

I know I promised a swatch of Singulière, but I figured a photo of it actually on my lips is more helpful, no?

Singulière is a light to medium bright pink with a sheer, balm-like formula. You can see how much more subdued it appears on my lips than it does in the bullet. It's not unusual for me to suffer from dry lips and while I usually have to apply lip balm before applying lipstick, with Singuliere I can just apply it on its own because it feels like a lip balm and is very moisturizing for a lipstick. It's sheer, but not super sheer, and is very buildable. It also has a really shiny finish that is perfect for those yes-my-lips-are-just-naturally-this-plump-and-glossy days ;)

Like a lot of girls who like to splurge on a few luxury brand beauty products every now and again, the gorgeous packaging was not lost on me. You can see how the seemingly clear cap has some holographic properties as well because being 100% clear is obviously much too boring for Dior ;)

I originally debated between getting Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Chance or Dior Addict Lipstick in Singulière because they both were the token, pale pink shades from their respective lines. I also got really mixed feedback on Twitter as far as which I should go for but in the end, I took a chance and went with Singulière (ironic much??) because based on swatches I found online, it seemed a bit darker and brighter (better for me because really pale pink lips make me look like a porn star) and less creamy than Chance (better wear time perhaps).

You'd think that after shelling out $28 for a lipstick my luxury lipstick craving would be satisfied for a least a little while, right? Wrong. I still want a Chanel Rouge Coco Shine, although I'm not sure which shade to go for...any suggestions? :D

  1. Singuliere looks great on you! I would have thought it was a lot brighter looking at it in the tube. I'm thoroughly enjoying the recent trend for balm-gloss-sticks recently, so might *need* to try one from Dior.

I haven't gotten around to getting any Rouge Coco's, but Boy, Adventure & Liberte are on my list!

  2. this looks like the perfect everyday pink!!! def wish listed!! For Chanel Evasion looks nice, Boy seems similiar to Dior

  3. That colour is gorgeous! My mum bought mine for me in the shade 'Basic' I would never have chosen it myself, but it is gorgeous! I find it really moisturising, but super expensive. I don't think I can justify buying another one *sob*

  4. I love how cheap you guys get your stuff in the US, Tiffany! Here a Rouge Coco Shine would cost AUD 50 and the Aussie dollar is stronger than the US dollar at the moment too :(

Yes, you *need* to, lol! I think I might want Boy too...or Evasion.

  9. This shade looks gorgeous on you, I was wanting to pick up one of these Dior types as I already have the rouge coco shine in Aventure and adore it :)

  12. This looks so glowy and natural on you! Perfect for that everyday, no fuss color. I have the Rouge Coco Shine in Boy, and really like it. Though I have to be honest and say I prefer the MAC Sheen Supremes over it and rarely reach for Boy anymore.

Oh, lovely! A lot of people seem to love the Chanel ones. I think I may get either Boy or Evasion :)

Thank you! It's Too Faced Shadow Insurance, MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque on the lid, Urban Decay e/s in Smog in the crease, Urban Decay e/s in Naked to blend out Smog, and Milani Liquif'eye Eye Pencil in Black :)

Thank you! I have a MAC Sheen Supreme in Bare Again and I love it too. I don't find it very sheer, though - do you? It's kind of just like a really creamy lipstick. I kinda like the sheer and balmy consistencies of the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine and Dior Addict Lipsticks.

  16. This looks light and perfect for summer! Chanel rouge coco chance is a really pretty cool pink, although if I had to choose, I'd pick evasion, which is nice and peachy

Wow look at that packaging! So gorgeous, I want a luxury lipstick so bad! I have been eyeing off YSL Rouge Volupte in No 30. I can't believe you only pay $28 in the US thats the cost of a Revlon lipstick over here in OZ! haha need to plan a trip to your beautiful country soon I think.

  21. Looks beautiful on you lady! It looks much darker on me though hmmm Btw I highly suggest Evasion, you'd love it! I have it and love it - now I remember when I first got it I told you I'd do a post on it and I never did lol I should do it! I think Boy is also super pretty, definitely on my list :)

  22. That's a very cute color, it looks very bubble gum pink and a bit frightening in the tube but it looks much nicer on.
I blogged about the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipstick I got, it's my latest post - check it out. There's nothing pale or Porn Star about the color I got haha!

Someone else from Australia was telling me how ridiculous NARS is over there too :O Compared to what you guys pay, $28 for a Dior lipstick seems affordable now, lol!

  32. Suuuuper pretty! Now I want it even more. I have Dior Lip Glow and I'm obsessed with it so I know I would love this. If I were to buy a Rouge Coco Shine, I would get Evasion :)

  33. You look gorgeous in these pics! I'm loving the whole look, especially your hair! Am I seeing some red in it? I know what you mean about being tempted by high-end lipsticks at the moment, I've definitely given into some tempting shades lately, as you know! I have Chance, Evasion, and Royallieu - I love them all, but maybe skip Chance as it is pretty similar to Singuliere? Tough call!!

  34. Looks great on you.. Love your hair Tiff ! ;)

  37. Hey! I love the lipstick on you. =) I actually stopped by to take a look at this the other day but didn't buy it since it looked similar to a Shu lippie I already have.

Also, I wanted to let you know I sent you an email in response to a super old comment. It's about the MUFE Brow Corrector. Sorry for getting back to you so late! <3

Lip products is something that I don't splurge on , but your lovely Dior pictures are making me re-consider!

  39. This colour look soo pretty. On you it looks sooo natural which I like, sometimes I like to a pink colour that just enhance the colour of my lips rather than having a dramatic change. definately loving this :)

  51. WillWorkForMakeupJune 13, 2011 at 8:53 PM

This one is definitely a pink, lip color-enhancing kind of shade, and the best part is that if you want it a bit more opaque, it's really buildable too!
