Sitting, Waiting, Wishing.

By Terry Baume de Rose SPF 15 $58

This multi-purpose balm is a pale, shimmery pink that smells of roses. If it were mine, I'd save it for use on my lips only because let's be honest, $58? Yikes.

Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Black Pearl $25

I'm not generally sucked into high-end nail polishes but I have yet to find a dupe for this unique, blackened teal-green concoction. If you know of one, please share :)

Chanel Mat Lumiere Foundation $54

Despite having oily skin, I'm not typically a fan of matte foundations and strongly dislike long-lasting formulas (long-lasting= mask-like). However, with Summer right around the corner, I fear my skin will need a foundation with more oil-control and I've heard great things about Mat Lumiere.

Scandal Queen Mascara

FAIRYDROPS Scandal Queen Mascara $24

This japanese mascara is new to the Sephora line-up and I can't help but be immediately pulled-in by the cute packaging and intrigued by the interesting wand shape.

 Superslick Liquid Eye Liner

MAC Superslick Liquid Eye Liner in On the Hunt $17.50

I'm terrified of liquid liner. I've only barely mastered the art of gel/cream liners but can never seem to get the hang of the liquid variety. Everyone seems to rave about how easy this one is to apply and how black and long-lasting it is that I figured, maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to figure it out soon.

Mia™ Skin Cleansing System - Lavender

Clarisonic Mia in Lavender $149

The most extravagant purchase on my wishlist is this glorified face brush. Everyone either has one or wants one and sadly, I'm in the latter category. Lavender, please!

Have you tried anything on my wishlist yet? If so, thoughts? :)

  1. I havent tried any of those product but they sound amazing. I would like a pink clarisonic please. :)

  2. ooo that chanel polish is amazing!!

I would love to try clarisonic!!!

  3. Ah yes, the clarisonic - an extravagent item on everyone's wishlist/bathroom shelf. I'm still hoping santa will bring me mine this year!

  4. Baume de Rose has been on the top of my list, and Fairydrops has recently captured my attention.

I have a fairly similar wish list ... it's just difficult to justify spending quite so much money!

    ♥ Jessica

  5. All of these things are on my wishlist too! I'd love to get my mitts on baume de rose and black pearl, but oh my goodness, those price tags!!

LOVE your blog, by the way!!

  6. Jack Johnson reference in the title? ;D
I've wanted to try the Fairy Drops mascara(s) for quite some time. Can't wait for it to hit Sephora stores! :)

  7. The Fairy Drops mascara and the Chanel foundation! Oh my..they certainly look really tempting..can't stop reading all ur posts! =)

  8. I just sow the mascara while browsing Sephora yesterday..Tempting! I have the clarsonic and meh...not that special but most ppl love it. :)

  9. I want Black Pearl polish too! the price tag is holding me back though :(

I also have the Clarisonic Mia and really haven't used it after the first week of getting it. I find a decent exfoliator works much better than the Clarisonic.

  10. I have the clarisonic and don't think its all that great. I would definitely go with the Derma New system...much cheaper and much more effective.

  11. I want to try that Fairy Drops mascara! What an adorable name =) Do you kow when it will be in Sephora, or is it there now?

  12. @Hannah: Thank you so much, lovely!

    @Maggie: Yup :)

@Charming Vanity: Aww, thank you for reading!

@Ansa: Really? That's good, actually. It doesn't make me feel so bad that I can't afford to get it right now, lol.

@Jen W: Yay! I love hearing from people that don't think the Clarisonic is great because it makes me feel better that I can't afford to get it :)

@FunnyFaceBeauty: Ooo, thank you! I'll look into it...

    @Kim's Vanity: I haven't seen it in-stores yet, not sure if/when it'll be available in-stores, but it's on-line now!

  13. Thank you everyone for your comments! Apparently, I'm not the only one here that suffers from an ever-growing wishlist! ;)

  14. I'm with you on the Chanel Mat Lumiere and Clarisonic Mia (lavender for me, too). Bypassing Black Pearl was hard but now I'm over it. I have the MAC Superslick liner and it really is quite good.

  15. super great list!!!! i wish listed feline eye khol also and am curious to try the new version of fairy drops as the original was very lengthening and nice
Clarasonic, I love mine!!!!! but it took a while to see results
I own balm de rose, I can review it if you wish but to tell u the truth i did not think it was worth the $ i paid

  16. They have a LAVENDER Clarisonic Mia now?!?!?!! OMGAHHHHHHHH how dare they come out with this only now?!?!?!?!! MANNNN purple is my favorite color!!!! SHO SAD.

But yes, you need to get the Clarisonic ASAP. Seriously! ;]

  17. I really want the pale yellow Clarisonic! I generally find that exfoliators don't do much for me - I need something more!

  18. awesome list!!

I have the By Terry Baume de Rose.. And I honestly did not feel that it was that great.. For me at least

Chanel Mat Lumier in the other hand it a lovely foundation and is not completely matte..

    Love your posts ;)

  19. Oooh, I've got loads to say about this post! Brace yourself! haha I've been tempted by the Baume de Rose for the tint, but I have to say Dior's Creme de Rose balm is less than half the price and works REALLY well! I don't notice any color in the Dior, though. Other great lip balms: Tokyomilk Dark (OMG, just bought two of these and they are DELICIOUS and so moisturizing!) and Crabtree & Evelyn's Vanilla Creme Brulee lip butter (I blogged about this one). I'm kind of obsessed with lip products, have you noticed? haha

I'm so funny about foundations - I always want to try new ones, but I always, always go back to my NARS Sheer Glow. I think part of it is that the shade (Mont Blanc) is absolutely my exact match and no other foundation looks so natural on my skin, while still covering my redness, blemishes, and scarring. I think it's just the nose-patchiness thing (hate that!!) that keeps my eyes open for other brands!

Also, wanted to tell you I LOVE the On the Hunt liner - it's my favorite liquid liner (it beat out my old fave, the felt-tip one by Smashbox). It really is quick and easy to apply and dries quickly - though it still looks glossy. The only negatives I will say are that it sometimes gets on my eyelashes and squirts my hands when I pull out the applicator. But aside from that, it's amazing!

Two more things and I'm done, promise! lol

The Fairydrops mascara I HAD TO HAVE - loved the look of the brush (similar to my HG Lancome Hypnose Drama) and the PACKAGING!! <3 I think it's definitely a very good mascara, but I dislike that it's "water-resistant" - I don't like the feeling of waterproof mascaras, and it's a little hard to remove. It's also not as black as my Lancome one. Like I said, still a good one, though - and I do like the brush!

Last but not least, I have a Clarisonic Mia and I really do think it's a worthy purchase (Sephora F&F? That's when I got mine! Or when Ulta has those 20% off one item coupons...). My skin feels SO CLEAN after I use it. I use mine twice a day - at night I use a makeup remover wipe first. Love it!

Okay, taking a breath now because this is already the longest comment in history! haha

  20. OMG, me again??? Yes, just had to add one thing about the Clarisonic - I don't really feel like it helps prevent breakouts or clear them up - my skin seems just as sensitive as it ever was. Okay, NOW I'm done! :P

  21. @Beauty Reductionista: I think I'm definitely going to get the Superslick liquid liner!

@Lilladylife: I didn't know this was a new version of the Fairydrops mascara? I'm so new to the brand! A few people have been telling me that the Baume de Rose is not worth it so I guess I'll just save my hard earned pennies :)

@Sharon: I know, the lavender is so cute!

@25FLONDON: Ooo...the pale yellow is pretty too!

@Delyteful Speaks: You're one of many people to tell me now that Baume de Rose is not that great, which is good for me because I can save my money! And I think I'm going to try to get a sample of Mat Lumiere soon...I hope I love it!

@Jessica: Whoa! You weren't kidding when you said you had lots to say, lol :) I've heard mixed reviews on the Dior lip balm, ugh. I just never know who to listen to anymore! Definitely going to look into the Tokyomilk Dark lip balms, though.

I like Sheer Glow, too, but I think in the Summer I'm going to need something with more oil-control. My face gets ridiculously shiny after only like 3-4 hours!

I'm getting the Superslick liquid liner very soon...no more convincing necessary :)

I think I'm going to skip out on the mascara. I didn't realize it was waterproof and removing waterproof mascara is a pain and I always end up losing some lashes in the fight :(

I've gotten SO many mixed opinions about the Clarisonic Mia that I just don't know anymore! Maybe I'll get it when I can afford it and return it if I end up not being wowed by it.

    I love long comments! <3

  22. That mascara looks so cool! I remember Lollipop26 bought and reviewed Baume de Rose and I just couldnt fathom ever spending so much money on a ~multipurpose balm! :O
