7-Day Lipstick Challenge: Orange.

Yesterday was Day 1 of my 7-Day Lipstick Challenge and I actually had two orange lipstick picks. I was originally planning on just wearing Barry M Lip Paint in 54 Peach, but after receiving Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Siren a few days ago from Revlon's Twitter giveaway and considering how dry Peach is on its own, I decided to layer Siren over Peach.

Barry M Peach (top) and Revlon Siren

Peach is a bright, medium orange while Siren is a bright, deep orange with coral undertones.

(Please excuse my embarrassingly obvious drawn-on eyebrows. I was testing out a new eyebrow pencil (I normally use brown eyeshadows) and only realized after applying it that the color is not a great match...but the damage was done.)

I initially felt incredibly uncomfortable and silly after applying it because I've never worn orange lips before (how many people have, right?). After taking this photo, I had to leave to go run some errands and considered taking it off before I left, but I didn't because that would defeat the whole purpose of the challenge! So off I went and honestly, I kind of forgot I had it on and eventually even grew to almost like how it looked on me! Almost. I can't say the same for strangers, though...don't think I didn't notice those stares :D

Countdown until anticipated completion of challenge: 6 days.

  7. Oh yes, it definitely takes a confident person to wear orange lipstick! x) It's not too common, but hey, you look very pretty with it and I do envy people who are willing to go out of the comfort zone!

  11. @FunnyFaceBeauty: No, I don't have Morange. I don't really know if orange lipstick is my thing so I wouldn't want to spend that much money on one :)

  16. Thank you, Arista! And yeah, if it wasn't for the lipstick challenge, I'm not sure I'd choose to wear a bright orange lipstick either, lol ;)
